The US announces military aid of $2.5 billion to Ukraine – including experimental weapons

Washington: The US Department of Defence has announced $2.5 billion worth of arms support to Ukraine, which included missiles, ammunition, radars, anti-drone systems, mortars, and armoured vehicles. In this package, the US is including certain weapons to be used on experimental bases which are not yet inducted in the US armed forces. This confirms that the US is exploiting Ukraine as a testing ground.

$2.5 billionOver the last year, the US has provided Ukraine with as much as $30 billion worth of weapons. This includes the Patriot, Javelin anti-tank, Stinger, HIMARS, and drones. It is said that the US tanks will also reach Ukraine in the next few months.

Analysts and experts claim that some of the weapons provided by the US are not on record, which the US has refused to clarify. In such a scenario, C-UAS Laser guided missile systems are drawing attention as this system is not yet deployed in the US military and undergoing trials. Hence, it’s quite surprising that the US has decided to provide this system to Ukraine.
