World has witnessed India's counter-response to China at LAC amid Cor

Chennai: Amid the outbreak of Coronavirus pandemic, China thought India would not be able to respond strongly to its intrusion at the LAC. But this turned out to be an illusion of China. Even in the presence of Coronavirus, the Indian Army thwarted China’s unilateral attempts to change the LAC. The entire world has seen the Indian Army’s harsh response to China. Also, External Affairs Minister Jaishankar has criticized China in direct words that the Indian Army had taken strict action against Chinese intrusion in Tawang, Arunachal Pradesh, last month. Speaking at an event organized in Chennai, Minister Jaishankar fired a cannon at China. Internationally, India is saying that its relations with China are not smooth. China, however, is trying to divert the world’s attention from the tension at the LAC by claiming that its border with India is peaceful. In such a situation, Indian leaders have been using more and more aggressive language against China for the past few weeks and are giving stern warnings to China. External Affairs Minister Jaishankar made the international community aware of the situation by saying that India’s relations with China were strained during his foreign visits. While speaking at a program in Chennai, Jaishankar expressed strong displeasure at China’s tactics.

While the entire world suffered from the Corona pandemic, its impact started showing in India too. China felt that India would not be able to respond if it infringed at the LAC at such a time. But it didn’t happen. The Indian Army dispelled this illusion of China and gave a forceful response to the Chinese intrusion. Jaishankar said that the whole world has taken note of this and the whole world has got the message that no one can take aggressive action against India. Not only the LAC with China, but India dominates the maritime sector too. The External Affairs Minister claimed that this has increased India’s importance at the international level. The Indian Ocean region will be very important in the future. In such a situation, it is impossible for any initiative to succeed in this field unless India is involved, said Jaishankar.

While the importance of the Indian Ocean region is growing internationally, India’s international position in the future will depend on how India uses it for its interests. Minister Jaishankar made a statement that attracted the attention of analysts. Jaishankar highlighted its importance by saying that the extent to which India’s influence and participation in this maritime area will increase, India’s position at the international level will be elevated. Meanwhile, the External Affairs Minister had warned that there is no dividing line between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific Ocean, but from the point of view of cargo traffic, it is a single area.
