Moreover, Pakistan has accused the terrorists in Pakistan’s saboteur activities based on bases in the Afghan border regions. A few days ago, eight Pakistani soldiers, including a senior official, were killed in a terror attack. Pakistan launched the airstrike at Khost in the Kunar region of Afghanistan on the very next day. Although the Pakistan military claimed that the attack was against the terrorists, the ground reality is that women and children were killed in the airstrike.

Major repercussions are being felt from the incident in Afghanistan and protests have started against the airstrike. The Taliban regime has also taken cognizance of the attack and has issued warnings to Pakistan. Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that the Taliban would not stop short of making Pakistan answer for the attack. Mujahid warned that the reality is that Pakistan is behind the attacks carried out on the Afghan land, which could create hostility between the countries. Mujahid threatened Pakistan, saying that the Taliban would take appropriate steps to prevent any further attacks in the coming times.

Mujahid made Pakistan aware of the consequences in precise words that if a war is sparked over the matter, it will not be in anyone’s interest. Some analysts from Pakistan have expressed a concern that Pakistan has opened one more war front with this attack at Khost in the Kunar province of Afghanistan. These analysts are warning that the Pakistan military has committed the blunder of launching this attack when the political discord and economic crisis have intensified in the country.
