The US daily “Washington Post” has reported about it. Russia has deployed the ‘Tobol Electronic Warfare System’ at seven locations. It includes Kaliningrad, a defence base in Europe, along with the capital Moscow. The systems at these bases are jamming the network of Starlink satellites in Ukraine. The “Washington Post” has said this information is being given by referencing the US intelligence agencies.

In February last year, Russia attacked Ukraine. During this military operation, the Russian armed forces destroyed Ukraine’s satellite communication and internet service system. Therefore, the Ukrainian military does not have a separate satellite communication system. The US Department of Defense had instructed Musk to provide its Starlink network services to the Ukrainian Army. Musk has spent billions of dollars on it so far.

Sources associated with the company are saying that despite their efforts to provide services, the Starlink network in Ukraine will soon be destroyed due to rising Russian attacks. The shutdown of the Starlink network is likely to have a major impact on the capabilities of Ukraine’s armed forces. In October last year, the communication system of the Ukrainian Army was claimed to have been affected in Kherson and the Bakhmut area.

Musk’s SpaceX company has launched nearly 3,000 small satellites into space. These satellites travelling in the Earth’s orbit (Low Earth Orbit) have the ability to provide high-speed internet services to every corner of the world. Musk has envisioned an ambitious plan to launch nearly 40,000 small satellites into Earth’s orbit under ‘Starlink’. Although the deadline for this is not fixed, the process has already begun, said Musk.
