Russia begins referendums in four regions of Ukraine; Ukraine and Western countries criticize the move

Moscow: Referendums have begun in four Russian-controlled regions of Ukraine. Voting has started in Luhansk and Donetsk, part of the Donbas region, and Kherson and Zaporizhzhia. Russia said that voting would continue till the 27th of next week. Western countries, including Ukraine, have criticized the referendum process as a sham and warned that the international community would never recognize it. Ukraine has launched attacks in Donetsk and Kherson regions while the referendum is underway. Ukraine accused Russia of carrying out attacks in the Port of Odesa using Iranian drones.
