Pakistan forgot its ‘lesson’ and reverted the proposal of discussion with India

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif proposed talks with India by claiming that Pakistan has learned a lesson after three wars with India. But decades after these wars, the wisdom of this lesson for Pakistan did not last even a few hours. Because the announcement made by the Prime Minister’s Office of Pakistan testifies to this, Pakistan’s Prime Minister’s Office has said that Pakistan will not hold talks unless India reinstates Article 370, which grants special status to Jammu and Kashmir. Before this revelation came from Pakistan, Indian analysts had warned that the words of the Pakistani Prime Minister could not be trusted. Some analysts have claimed that since there was no response from India, the Prime Minister of Pakistan had to scramble to defend himself.

Pakistan forgot its 'lesson' and reverted the proposal of discussion with IndiaBefore the Pakistan Prime Minister proposed talks with India, the Pakistan government had released some news in the media. News reports also claimed talks between India’s National Security Adviser Ajit Doval and Pakistan’s ISI chief. It was decided in this discussion that the Prime Minister of India would visit Pakistan. This information was given by the former army chief of Pakistan, General Bajwa. Pakistani media made such claims. But some journalists and news agencies in Pakistan claimed that this discussion between the two countries could not go ahead. Pakistan tried to create the atmosphere for talks with India by using this news and then Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said he had learned a lesson.

But India did not pay much attention to the statements given by Prime Minister Sharif. India has realized that there is no other option but to discuss with India the face of impoverished Pakistan in the present situation. At the same time, India is not ready to commit another mistake of trusting Pakistan. After realizing this, it was time for the Prime Minister of Pakistan to kill time by summarizing his statements. Thus, the Prime Minister’s Office cited the reason for Article 370 and declared that talks with India are impossible unless this Article is invoked.

But these statements made by Prime Minister Sharif have caused reactions in Pakistan more than in India. Some analysts in Pakistan expressed displeasure that his statement was a sign that Pakistan was ready to kneel before India. Some claimed that Prime Minister Sharif was ready to compromise because his country wanted help from India. But today or tomorrow, Pakistan has to improve its relations with India. There is no way out, a group of journalists and analysts are presenting their position in the media of Pakistan.

India has succeeded in gaining an important position at the international level. At present, every important country must recognize India. In such a situation, Pakistan cannot proceed by severing ties with India, claimed former senior officers of the Pakistan Air Force. By writing an article in a leading daily of Pakistan, he seems to have tried to make the intellectuals and analysts of our country aware of the reality.
