Pakistan failed over the Kashmir issue, whereas India succeeded – Pakistani Foreign Minister

Pakistani Foreign MinisterUnited Nations – Pakistan is presently facing an acute food shortage, soaring inflation and unemployment which has forced them to seek aid from all countries does not seem to be bothered about the state of the economy but ironically is more worried about its failure to get Kashmir off the agenda at the United Nations. This was seen when Pakistani Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto admitted that India is vocal and strong about its position at the UN. In contrast, Pakistan has failed on the issue of Kashmir.

Once again, this year, Pakistan’s foreign minister raised the issue of Kashmir before the United Nations Human Rights Commission and maligned India’s image. India’s ambassador to the United Nations, Ruchira Kamboj, reprimanded that their allegations were not worthy of any response. Pakistan’s Foreign Minister, while addressing the Women’s forum at the United Nations Commission on Friday, raised the issue of Kashmir and accused India of succeeding in isolating the UN’s role from the Kashmir Issue.

India has consistently reacted very strongly whenever Pakistan raises the issue of Kashmir, which has made it difficult for Pakistan to sustain the issue on the agenda and defend it, said Bhutto. In his address, he mentioned India as a friend. However, it was immediately clear that it was a mistake as he mentioned India as a neighbouring country in subsequent statements.

Meanwhile, Pakistani analysts and journalists are astonished watching the success of India’s foreign policy. Pakistani media are in awe of India’s progress in the seven decades while having strategic engagement with the US and Russia simultaneously. Recently India has been hosting important G20 conferences and successfully isolating Pakistan on the Kashmir issue. Leaders of major countries are unwilling to visit Pakistan, whereas all major global leaders are queued to visit India. Pakistani journalists claim this is a huge success for India and a failure for Pakistan. However, Bilawal Bhutto admitted this failure as Foreign Minister is noteworthy.
