He accused the Pakistan army of being involved in the smuggling of drugs, which is happening in Balochistan. These security officers are the ones permitting open access to the drug traffickers. Thus, the youth in Balochistan is being drawn into drug addiction.

The clans, who flaunt Pakistani flags on their bikes and roam around on Pak Republic Day on March 23 and Independence Day on August 14, are involved in such drugs trafficking, Maulana Hidayatur Rehman Baloch declared to the Baloch protestors. Even though he did not mention anyone in his remark, Maulana Hidayatur seems to have indirectly hinted at the senior officers of Pakistan security forces.

‘Pakistani coast guard barricades innocent fishermen and frisks them. But, this same coast guard has granted a free hand to drug smugglers. We condemn and protest the corrupt setup, where the rulers join their forces with criminals,’ slammed Maulana Baloch. Besides, Maulana Baloch said that the same notoriety is happening on the streets and sea. Thus, it is vital to fight for the rights of Baloch citizens.

Moreover, Maulana Baloch threatened to expose the Pakistani forces if they did not act against those involved in the smuggling of these drugs. Besides, while speaking to a news agency, International Geopolitical analyst Mark Kinra also drew attention to the problem of drugs in Balochistan. ‘Baloch is a hub for both consumption and transit of drugs coming from Afghanistan. Pakistan provides a vital transit route for smuggling drugs worth $30 billion from neighbouring Afghanistan. Not just Gwadar but several ports across the Makran coast—Ormara, Talar, Hingol, Sur Bandar, Peshukan and Jiwani, are used for sending out the drugs,’ said Kinra.

Meanwhile, Iran had accused Pakistan of smuggling drugs via its border at large. Consequently, Iran slammed Pakistani security forces for not acting against this drug trafficking.
