In the last week, on Friday, South Korean Defence Minister Suh Wook made a big announcement regarding the might of the South Korean military. Defence Minister Wook claimed that the South Korean military possessed missiles for fast and accurate attacks deep into North Korea.

Moreover, Wook had announced that the South Korean military possessed the capability to launch the first strike to deplete the strength of the neighbouring country’s military. The South Korean Defence Minister had announced such attacks even last month.

But following the warning issued by the South Korean Defence Minister, North Korea has issued threatened directly with a nuclear strike. Kim Yo-jong criticised that the South Korean government is daydreaming about launching the first strike on North Korea and this is their arrogance. Yo Jong threatened that North Korea would directly launch a nuclear strike in South Korea in that scenario. The North Korean dictator’s sister warned that the South Korean military would be on North Korean target.

Only last month, North Korea warned that the activities of the United States have reached a ‘Danger Line’ and had threatened the United States with new nuclear tests. After that, within the next few days, North Korea tested a Hasog-17 ballistic missile capable of reaching the far eastern cities in the United States. As per the analysts in South Korea and Japan, Hasog-17 can strike a target up to 15,000 kilometres. The United States imposed fresh sanctions against North Korea, taking serious cognisance of the test.

Meanwhile, a reaction has been received from the United States following the threat of a nuclear strike issued by Kim Yo-jong on Tuesday. The US Chief of Defence Forces said that the North Korean missile and nuclear program threatens the United States and its allies. US Secretary of Defence warned that North Korea is a perpetual threat to the United States.
