North Korea launches ballistic missile in Sea of Japan; Japan, South Korea, US criticise

Seoul: – The missile launched by North Korea crashed in the Sea of Japan on Tuesday. The South Korean military claimed that North Korea launched this missile from a submarine. Japan and South Korea and the United States have lashed out at North Korea, which launched a missile in the Sea of Japan. Last month, North Korea had conducted a missile test while the UN General Assembly was being held. It is apparent from these developments that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un is trying to attract the world’s attention.

In January, that is possessed the most powerful weapon in the world. At that time, North Korea announced the information regarding the missile that could be launched from a submarine. After that, North Korea has continued periodic testing of missiles. The number of North Korean tests has increased over the last one and a half months. Some of the tests have proved to be violating international regulations and posing a threat to the security of South Korea and Japan.  

North Korea launched a ballistic missile from its Sinpo port on Tuesday. North Korean submarines are stationed in the Sinpo port. Therefore, South Korea claimed that North Korea fired the concerned missile from one of the submarines. The missile reached a height of 60 kilometres and crashed at a distance of around 450 kilometres in the Sea of Japan. Although the missile did not land within the official Japanese limits, Japan has said that the test is deplorable.   

It is claimed that this North Korean test of launching the missile from a submarine is a warning to Japan, South Korea and the United States. Earlier, in 2019, North Korea had launched the Pukguksong-3 missile from underwater. The United States had claimed that this missile test was assessing Japan along with North Korea.
