Srinagar: A massive haul of arms and ammunition, was seized at Rajouri in Jammu-Kashmir, during the campaign launched by the security forces against the terrorists. Whereas, the officials informed that 2 Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists were arrested in Kulgam.
The Jammu-Kashmir Police and 38 Rashtriya Rifles soldiers, located an underground tunnel, during a joint search operation, in a dense forest. Rajouri senior superintendent of police, Chandan Kohli informed that a huge haul of arms and ammunition was hidden in the tunnel. Two AK-47 rifles, 270 rounds for the AK-47, two Chinese Made pistols, Two magazines, 75 Pica rounds, 12 empty rounds, ten detonators and five to six kilograms of explosives. It is evident from the volume of the haul that the terrorists were plotting a major saboteur activity. Officials said that search operations are being continued in the area.
Meanwhile, two terrorists were arrested at Kulgaum in Jammu-Kashmir. Both of them confessed to their affiliation to Lashkar-e-Taiba, during interrogation. These two were responsible for the supply of arms and ammunition to the terrorists operational in southern Kashmir. Two guns, mobile phones and a lot of live cartridges were seized for these terrorists.
