Jerusalem: Following the Abraham agreement with the Arab countries, Israel has signed agreements for supplying weapons worth billions of dollars. This cooperation will be made more comprehensive in the coming times. Israeli Defence Minister claimed that Israel would sell weapons even to the Sunni-Arab countries in the Middle East.

Citing this agreement, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz announced increasing military cooperation with the Arab countries. Defence Minister Gantz informed that the Israeli officials held a minimum of 150 meetings with the Arab countries in the last one and a half years.

The Israeli Defence Minister refrained from naming the Arab countries having defence cooperation with Israel. He also did not reveal the details of the weapons supplied to these countries. But Gantz said these do not include Egypt and Jordan’s Israeli neighbours. Furthermore, Defence Minister Gantz informed that Israel is making efforts to increase this cooperation, which has already reached $3 billion. Israeli media claimed that the Israeli Defence Minister seems to be indicating cooperation with Saudi Arabia, saying that this will include some Sunni Arab countries. Israel has already expressed willingness to supply air defence systems to the Arab countries, given the threat posed by Iran and its affiliated terrorist organisations.
