Houthis have more effective weapons than the Arab countries

Sana: Saudi Arabia and its allies observe the ceasefire agreed upon with the Houthi rebels in Yemen. But it has been exposed that under the disguise of the ceasefire, the Houthi rebels are increasing the level of weapons preparedness. The Houthi rebels are equipping themselves with pistols, Kalashnikov Rifles, missiles, drone manufacturing, and many other advanced technologies. A leader of the Houthi rebels claimed that they have more effective weapons than the Arab countries. This leader also encouraged his colleagues to prepare for a new conflict with Saudi and the Arab countries.

Moreover, reports of Israel equipping the Arab countries with weapons to challenge Iran are being received. Earlier, Israel had indicated to supply air defence systems to United Arab Emirates (UAE) and Bahrain. Israel and UAE even held talks regarding defence cooperation. But the Israeli and US media have made different claims regarding this cooperation. These media say Israel will be supplying Laser Dome to the Middle East nations, including Saudi Arabia. It is said that a meeting regarding this had been held three months ago between the Israeli and Saudi officials.

It is claimed that this Israeli front with the Arab countries is against Iran. In this scenario, the Ansarullah Movement, AKA Houthi Rebels, claimed their weapons preparedness was stronger than the Arab countries. According to the Houthi rebels, they possess long-range ballistic cruise missiles having the range to strike the farthest Saudi cities. The Houthi leader claimed that even the US air defence system could not target these missiles.

Meanwhile, it has been exposed that the Patriot air defence system failed to neutralise missiles launched by the Houthi rebels. Moreover, given the differences with the Biden administration, there are obstacles in the weapons supply to Saudi. The Houthi threat increases considerably given this. The defence cooperation offered by Israel to Saudi in this scenario becomes essential. It has been repeatedly exposed that Iran is behind the weapons preparedness of the Houthi rebels. Besides, Saudi is trying to safeguard itself against the threat of these rebels from Yemen with Israeli cooperation.

This developing defence cooperation between Saudi and Israel will have significant political and strategic implications in the Middle East. Hezbollah from Lebanon and Hamas from Gaza Strip have realised this. A few days ago, these organisations, having close links with Iran, issued severe warnings to the Arab-Middle East countries over military cooperation with Israel.
