Israel and Saudi leaders present in US at the same time

Washington: International analysts claim that the Iranian nuclear program and the perceived threat from the Iran-affiliated terrorist groups are bringing the Arab countries closer to Israel. The Abraham agreement signed in 2020 is a part of this developing cooperation. The leaders of Israel and Saudi themselves claim that cooperation could develop between them in the coming times. A possibility is being predicted that these two countries will align in the front against Iran. The simultaneous presence of Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz and Saudi Deputy Defence Minister Khalid bin Salman in the United States indicates that direction.

Israel and Saudi leaders present in US at the same timeOn Wednesday, Israeli Defence Minister Benny Gantz visited the United States and met US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan. After that, Gantz held discussions with US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin. Saudi Arabian Deputy Defence Minister Prince Khalid Bin Salman was in the United States exactly 24 hours before Gantz. Prince Khalid also held meetings with Jake Sullivan and Lloyd Austin. Both the Israeli and the Saudi leaders discussed the same issue of the Iranian nuclear program and the increased threats from the program. During his discussions with US Secretary of Defence Lloyd Austin, Israeli Defence Minister Gantz also discussed the use of Plan B against Iran.

Israel and Saudi leaders also presented their stand on the threats created to the security of their countries and the Gulf region. The simultaneous presence of Gantz and Prince Khalid in the United States and both exerting pressure on the Biden administration over Iran has become a topic of discussion for the Israeli analysts. Whereas, some people claim that Israel, Saudi and the United States are opening a major front against Iran. These Israeli analysts claim that the developments and meetings in Washington and Pentagon over the last 48 hours are a warning for Iran.

Meanwhile, international analysts claim that Israel and Saudi can come together to increase pressure on the Biden administration, which has avoided taking an uncompromising stand against Iran. Israel has already warned that it will attack Iran without US permission. Senior members of the Saudi Royal family criticise in open interviews that the United States has betrayed Saudi by removing the Houthi rebels from the list of terrorist organisations. In this scenario, the simultaneous presence of Israeli and Saudi leaders in the United States addressing one common issue of Iran becomes significant.
