Iran puts fresh condition that Nuclear Deal will be streamlined only after US

Tehran: Iran has put a new condition in front of the Biden administration, frantic for a nuclear deal with Iran. Iran has warned that the nuclear deal is possible only if the United States is willing to compensate the financial losses incurred by Iran over the last few years. Iran clarified that this message was reached to the United States following the visit of Enrique Mora, Coordinator from the European Union.

The negotiations going on at Vienna between the United States and Iran with mediation by the European Union have been stalled since the last few weeks. European media are claiming that the nuclear deal has been hampered in view of the disagreements between the Biden administration and Iran over certain issues. Josep Borrell, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, had claimed to have resolved the tangle in the negotiations. Borrell has sent Enrique Mora as the EU coordinator to Iran.

In this scenario, Saeed Khatibzadeh, the spokesman of the Iranian foreign ministry expressed an expectation that the United States should accept the Iranian demands. Khatibzadeh said that Iran was still firm on its demand that the Revolutionary Guards are removed from the list of terrorist organisations.

At the same time, Khatibzadeh added that Iran has set certain Red Lines for the nuclear deal and Iran expects the United States should abide by them. Kahtibzadeh demanded that if the United States really wants Iran to sign the nuclear deal, it should return the money extracted from the pockets of the Iranian population. In short, Iran is suggesting that the United States should compensate Iran. It is also becoming apparent that Iran believes that the United States, who has been willing to compromise for the nuclear deal, will accept even this condition. Meanwhile, the accusation that the United States is bowing in front of Iran for the nuclear deal can become stronger. The opposition leaders in the United States are already castigating the Biden administration for this.
