Beijing: Swedish companies will not get an opportunity in the Chinese market unless Sweden lifts the ban on Chinese company Huawei, China threatened. Chinese government mouthpiece, The Global Times, has published this news quoting Chinese envoy to Sweden and other Chinese sources.
Huawei is recognised as the leading 5G technology company across the world. This company has succeeded in expanding its influence in many countries globally based on its connection with the ruling Chinese communist regime. However, three years ago, Huawei started experiencing massive jolts after former US President Donald Trump initiated an aggressive campaign.
The United States has banned Huawei, after which over ten nations followed suit. These nations include Japan, Australia, the UK, Canada, Czech Republic and India, alongside Sweden. China has reacted furiously to the Swedish ban and threatened to deny opportunities to Swedish companies in the Chinese market.
Moreover, the Chinese envoy to Sweden has spoken about this in an interview. He warned that the Swedish government must rethink its decision to ban Huawei. Earlier, China had pressurised the UK by threatening it of bearing consequences on the China-UK trade cooperation against the Huawei ban.
