Riyadh – The military front of the Arab countries has delivered a strong jolt to the Houthi rebels from Yemen for launching ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Arab countries destroyed the missile launch pads of the Houthi rebels in the Al-Jawf region of Yemen. At the same time, the Houthi locations in the Marib and Hajjah regions were also targeted. The United Nations has appealed that the Arab front promoted by Saudi should stop the airstrikes in Yemen.
Last month, the Houthi rebels carried out ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia and UAE. Saudi capital, Riyadh and UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, were targeted by those missiles. Three people had been killed in the missile and drone attacks carried out on Abu Dhabi. These included two Indian nationals. There had been strong criticism of these attacks by the Houthi rebels directly on the capitals of Saudi and UAE on the international level.
After that, in the last week, the military front of Saudi and the Arab countries started a military campaign against the Houthi rebels. The Arab front announced that the Houthi rebels, occupying the Yemenis capital Sanaa illegally, will be targeted during the action that started on Saturday. Currently, the action is being carried out in the Al-Jawf, Marib, and Hajjah provinces along with the capital Sanaa. The Arab front is also receiving support from the Yemen military. The fighter jets from the Arab countries are carrying 
out airstrikes. The Yemen military is laying a siege on the Houthi locations. It is claimed that the Houthi rebels are being cornered given this action. It is being claimed that in the last 24 hours, nine Houthi vehicles were destroyed and more than a dozen rebels were killed in the 16 attacks carried out by the Arab front in the Marib and Hajjah regions. The possibility is that the attacks by the Arab front could intensify in the coming times. Whereas, the possibility that the Houthi rebels will start fresh attacks in retaliation of the missile launchpad’s destruction at Al-Jawf cannot be denied.
