Gaza/Jenin/Jerusalem: Hamas, which welcomed the terror attacks carried out in Israel over the last three weeks, incited Palestinians from the West Bank. Hamas announced that the resistance against the Israeli military should be intensified in every city and village on the West bank. At the same time, Hamas criticised the countries Turkey and Bahrain, which denounced the terror attacks in the Israeli cities. Meanwhile, Israeli media claimed that Hamas was trying to trigger riots in the West Bank.
Terror attacks were carried out in the Israeli cities of Beersheba, Bnei Brak, Tel Aviv and Rahat over the last three weeks. The terrorist organisation IS having accepted the responsibility for these attacks. It has been exposed that the terrorists from the West Bank were involved in the attacks. After that, more than 200 suspects were detained in the actions taken by the Israeli security agencies in the West Bank and other regions. Israel has announced that more than 2,000 people will be detained if found necessary.
It has been exposed that the terrorists from the city of Jenin in the West Bank were involved in the terror attack carried out in the Israeli economic capital Tel Aviv on Thursday night. After that, the Israeli agencies attempted to arrest suspects invading the city of Jenin. But the locals obstructed the path of the security agencies preventing any action against the suspects. Therefore, the Israeli soldiers had to return empty-handed.
Hamas, the terrorist organisation from the Gaza Strip, took cognisance of this development. Hamas welcomed the spirit of the locals to turn the Israeli soldiers away. Hamas spokesman Fawzi Barhoum incited the Palestinians in the West Bank that they should not limit the resistance to Jenin and spread it to other cities and villages in the West Bank. The Israeli security agencies have taken cognisance of the incitement by Hamas to extremists from the West Bank.
Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip and West Bank, which are parts of the Palestine land, are under the control of the Hamas and Fatah parties, respectively. Israel has declared both these organisations as terrorist outfits. Fatah from West Bank has the Palestine leadership. But the Hamas influence is increasing in the West Bank over the last year. The Israeli security agencies had warned about this increasing Hamas influence after the riots in the Israeli cities. The Israeli security agencies and analysts had warned that Hamas could pose a challenge to the Israeli security sparking massive riots in the West Bank. The warnings issued by the Israeli agencies seem to be realising following the incitement by the Hamas spokesman.
