Growing support for separatism in the United States

Washington: – Support is growing for separatism in the United States. According to a report prepared by the website The Why Axis, supporters of both major political parties in the United States have been pushing for dissolution. Earlier, after the Brexit referendum in 2016, pro-separatism groups had become active in the US states of Texas and California.

A survey by Bright Line Watch and You Gov paints a clear picture of the demand for separatism in the United States. In the southern states of the United States, as many as 66 per cent of Republicans have supported secession from the United States. Notably, 50 per cent of non-partisan citizens with ‘independent’ thinking have supported secession.

Republican lawmakers in Texas, Florida, Mississippi, Wyoming and Michigan, and senior leaders in the southernmost states have also been discussing the issue. According to a report published by The Why Axis website, the problem is also being taken into account in the media supporting traditional ideology. In addition to the southern states of the United States, the issue of disintegration appears to be supported in the western and northeast United States.

Provinces in the West and Northeast America are considered pillars of the Democratic Party. Forty-seven per cent, as well as 39 per cent of Democrats in the region, supported secession. The survey also found that more than 30 per cent of the people with independent ideology supported separatism. Earlier, it was thought that only the southern states and Republican voters support the separatism issue.

But now, it has been revealed that Democrats, as well as supporters with an independent ideology, are supporting secession from the United States of America. This is a matter of great concern, claims Christopher Ingraham, a journalist and analyst at The Why Axis.
