Washington: The International Monetary Fund (IMF) claimed in its new report that the global economy will get divided into groups on the geopolitical level, given the Russia-Ukraine conflict. The IMF recently released the report ‘World Economic Outlook’ for the second quarter of the financial year. The report mentions the perceived threats to the global economy in the next few years. In this, the IMF has pointed to the possibility of division in the global economy.

Whereas German Chancellor Olaf Scholtz had said that the Russia-Ukraine conflict has rocked the process of globalisation.
