NSA Doval discussed with the Russian President on the occasion of the Afghanistan conference

Moscow: India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who participated in a meeting related to Afghanistan organised by Russia, met Russian President Vladimir Putin. It is said that bilateral and regional issues were discussed in this meeting. In this discussion, the Ministry of External Affairs has informed that both countries have decided to continue the strategic partnership of India and Russia in Afghanistan. At the same time, Doval warned that no one could be allowed to export terrorism to other countries using Afghanistan’s soil. The National Security Advisor seems to target Pakistan without naming it directly.

Significantly, Pakistan was not included in it. Before, the meeting was held in 2021 in New Delhi, India, and in 2022 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. In this meeting held in Russia, an in-depth discussion was held regarding the situation in Afghanistan. Moves have been underway to influence Afghanistan from countries outside the region. For this, these countries have been making excuses for anti-terrorist operations. But Russian President Putin expressed concern that these countries have not worked towards that. Besides, India’s National Security Advisor made it realise that it is necessary to dismantle the active terrorist organisations in Afghanistan.

Moreover, Ajit Doval said that the security organisations of all countries must provide confidential information and security cooperation against terrorist organisations like IS, Lashkar-e-Taiba and Jaish-e-Mohammed. At this moment, Doval also expressed the hope that the organisations declared by the United Nations as terrorists should not shelter in Afghanistan, and the land of Afghanistan should not be used to spread terrorism.

Along with this, Doval also attacked China, which was trying to attack Afghanistan’s mineral resources and natural resources. Besides, he said that Afghan people should have the first right to Afghanistan’s mineral wealth. Doval further added that India stands firmly with the people of Afghanistan in times of crisis, and India will never abandon the people of Afghanistan in their time of need. National security advisors also informed that India had provided 40 thousand metric tonnes of wheat, 60 tonnes of medicines, five lakh Coronavirus vaccines, 28 tons of winter clothing and other humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan during the last one and a half years.
