India and Central Asia countries meet regarding Afghanistan

New Delhi: The movement of terrorist organisations in Afghanistan’s land becomes a matter of great concern. Funds supplied to terrorist organisations act like blood vessels that keep terrorism alive. Therefore, strict action against money provided to terrorists is very necessary. National Security Advisor (NSA) Ajit Doval warned that all member states of the United Nations should refrain from providing funds to organisations involved in terrorist activities.

India and Central Asia countries meet regarding AfghanistanA meeting of national security advisers of four Central Asian countries, namely Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, was organised in the capital of New Delhi. The National Security Adviser of Turkmenistan was not present, but the Ambassador of Turkmenistan represented his country in the meeting. Addressing the meeting, India’s NSA Ajit Doval underlined the threat posed by terrorism.

This is the first time such a meeting has been organised in India. It would focus on the security situation in Afghanistan and possible threats from terrorist organisations in Afghanistan. Against this threat, India and these Central Asian countries can build independent mechanisms by increasing cooperation. Against this background, this meeting in New Delhi becomes important.

Meanwhile, India’s NSA seems to have targeted Pakistan, which provides money and other support to terrorists, though not directly mentioned. Pakistan has still not stopped the moves to use terrorist activities against India. However, India has consistently warned at the international level that it will not be possible to tolerate these activities of Pakistan hereafter.
