Coronavirus commotion, 4,591 deaths in US in one day, World count reaches 150,000

Washington – The Coronavirus pandemic has been playing havoc in the world by claiming more than 150,000 lives. The maximum number of deaths have been reported from the United States, and in the last 24 hours, 4,591 lives were lost. While the number of deaths is increasing in the United States, protests were reportedly held in major cities of the country against the lockdown. It is claimed that the protests were held to pressurise President Donald Trump to withdraw the lockdown.

The number of deaths in the world has reached 150,097, and there are a total of 2,226,941 Coronavirus cases in the world. The website monitoring the pandemic has said that more than 56,000 of these patients are in a critical condition. Whereas, more than 550,000 have been cured of the virus. The biggest brunt of the pandemic is borne by the United States and more than 35,000 lives have been claimed by the pandemic in the United States.

The highest number of deaths in the United States, 14,000, has been reported from the state of New York. The situation in New York is perilous, and the US media are claiming that there is a wildfire of deaths in the state. A person in New Jersey called the emergency services to pick up the corpse of a Coronavirus victim. But the emergency services personnel were in for a shock, as 17 bodies additional were waiting to be collected by the time they reached.

The pandemic has claimed 847 lives in the United Kingdom in the last 24 hours, taking the total count to 14,756. The World Health Organisation criticised that while the situation in the other European countries is said to be improving, the increasing spread in the United Kingdom can have an adverse effect on the efforts of other European countries. The situation in France is festering further. In the last 24 hours, the pandemic claimed 753 lives, and the total number of deaths in France has crossed 18,000. 1,081 soldiers aboard the Charles De Gaulle aircraft carrier have reportedly contracted the Coronavirus infection.
