There will be rebellion and civil war in US after the 2024 elections, warns former military official

Washington: – Former military officials have warned that the military could split in 2024, following the US presidential elections, culminating in a civil war in the United States. The warning was given in an article published in the US daily on Friday. The officers issuing the warning include retired Major General Paul Eaton, retired Brigadier General Steven Anderson and retired Major General Antonio Taguba. Just last week, a US analyst claimed that between two and three million US citizens could take up arms to overthrow President Biden’s administration.

The article ‘Three Retired Generals: The Military Must Prepare Now for a 2024 Resurrection’ has been published in The Washington Post’s in the ‘Opinion’ section. In the article, three former military officials warned of a new insurgency, citing violence in the US Congress. The retired officials point out that the January 6th violence in and around the US House of Representatives involved several veterans and soldiers from the Defence Forces. The United States has said in a statement that the US military was ‘unprepared’ for the violence, which erupted after the 2020 election.

The former officials have warned that the United States is still divided, and steps need to address any dire situation. Eaton, Anderson and Taguba cautioned that after the 2024 election, there could be anarchy in the US military and that it could pose a serious threat to the lives of the people in the United States. ‘Politics in the United States is polarized and military allegiances can also be divided. Some will obey the orders of the legitimately appointed Commander-in-Chief. But others are likely to listen to orders of the losing candidate.’ said the former military officials.

This time, the military official referred to the defeated candidate as a ‘Trumpian loser’. Military officials have warned that a split in the military could weaken US security and an enemy could take advantage of the situation to launch an attack.
