China’s communist regime forcing Tibetans into ‘labour camps’

New York/Beijing: – A shocking report has surfaced that the Chinese government has started torturing the Tibetan population after the Uyghurs and started using them as labourers. This report has been published by the US think tank Jamestown Foundation, which claims that 500,000 Tibetans have been dumped in these labour camps. While this report is being published, it has also been revealed that there is an increase in the number of camps for the Uyghurs. Against this background, French President Emmanuel Macron demanded that the United Nations should send a team to conduct an inquiry into the atrocities against the Uyghur people in the Xinjiang province of China. After the exposure of atrocities against the Tibetan people following the Uyghurs, the real face of the Chinese government has been exposed, and this is a major jolt for China.

China-labour-camps In 2018, a startling revelation that 1.1 million Uyghurs have been dumped in torture camps had been made in one of the reports of the United Nations. Following this report, the western countries started targeting China over the issue of these Uyghur people. Many reports of atrocities against the Uyghur Muslims have been published in the last two years, and the European countries, along with the United States have even raised a baton of action against China. Now that the report of atrocities against Tibetan people has surfaced, there are indications that this will spell trouble for the Chinese rulers.

As per the report published by the US think tank Jamestown Foundation, more than 500,000 Tibetans were sent to labour camps and were imparted training in the first seven months of the year. These mainly included farmers and people from the nomadic tribes. These people are being sent to various Chinese provinces and are being used as labourers after the completion of training. The US think tank report claims that this scheme is similar to the torture camps in the Xinjiang province, used against the Uyghur people.

Along with this, another report by the Australian Strategic Policy Institute also has been published. The report accuses that the Chinese government has increased the extent of atrocities against the Uyghur people. It states that China has opened 400 camps in the Xinjiang province to dump these Uyghurs. China had claimed to have reduced the number of camps opened for the Uyghur people. The new report proves that Chinese claims are false.

The issue of atrocities against the Uyghurs has been raised even in the United Nations. French President Emmanuel Macron targeted China over the Uyghurs issue in the UN General Assembly. He lashed out at China by saying that ‘fundamental rights’ is not a western concept and it appears in the constitution of the United Nations and the member countries are aware of this. At the same time, he demanded that a team should be sent by the United Nations to the Xinjiang province in China to get the correct assessment of the situation on the ground.
