China making strong efforts to increase Nuclear Weapons with capability to

Beijing/Washington: China has started strong moves to increase the number of nuclear weapons with the capacity to carry out strikes on the United States. China has built more than 100 Silos for nuclear weapons in the Gansu province in northern China. Satellite photographs of the construction have already been published. Wall Street Journal from the United States has published a report regarding this, quoting information received from analysts and intelligence agencies.

Last year, in June, the think tank Stockholm International Peace Research Institute (SIPRI) published a report regarding nuclear weapons. The report said that China has 350 nuclear weapons. SIPRI report noted that China is increasing the nuclear weapons stock rapidly and modernisation has also started. The report in the US daily endorses these claims.

The chambers built for the nuclear weapons ready to launch a strike are called Silos. The Chinese ruling regime had accepted that China was increasing its nuclear arsenal. But the increase was justified saying that this is for national security and safeguarding national interests. But the US intelligence agencies and analysts claimed that there was an increase in the number of nuclear weapons with a capacity to strike the United States.

Moreover, it is being exposed that these Silos being built by China are for the DF-41 category of intercontinental missiles. The speed of these DF-41 missiles, also known as Thermonuclear Weapons, is Mach-25. The range of these missiles is said to be between 12,000 to 15,000 kilometres. China inducted this missile into its defence forces in 2019. After that, its manufacturing speed increased tremendously, and it is claimed that there are more than 100 such missiles in the Chinese arsenal today. But as per the information published in Wall Street Journal, China is building Silos for DF-41 on a large scale. Analysts claim that China has more nuclear weapons than the published figures. US defence department, Intelligence agencies and think tanks have warned that the number of nuclear weapons with China will reach a thousand by 2030. Analysts claim that this increase is the sole objective of retaliating against the United States.

The defence assistance provided by the United States to Taiwan and the increasing activities in the South China Sea has made China restless. The US daily has said in the report that China is increasing its nuclear arsenal to be fully prepared for the eventuality of a conflict with the United States.
