In China’s Shanxi province, a circular has been issued for making coal available to the locals at an economical rate against the Coal Coupons. As per the circular, each family will be provided with two tonnes of coal over the next four months. In the last month, more than half the province was in darkness, given the coal shortage. The reason forwarded for this crisis was a shortfall in fuel supplies.

The Chinese regime decided to issue Coal coupons after this, given the increasing fuels rates. But the Chinese media are expressing a concern, taking into account the harsh winter in China. This coal may not be sufficient. Olden incidents are being reminded of on the Chinese social media over Coal Coupons. During the tenure of Mao, a significant crisis food grain shortage had developed. Therefore, a limit had been imposed on the food grain provided to each family. Concerns are being expressed on social media whether China is going through a similar crisis once again.

The Chinese energy crisis has intensified and it is claimed that the aggressive policies of Jinping are responsible for it. Tensions have been created between China and Australia since the last year. China had stopped economic and trade cooperation with Australia, which had accused that the Coronavirus pandemic originated from China. But it is China which has been hit hard with this. The Chinese industry has been severely affected as the impost of high-grade coal from Australia has been stopped. At the same time, the increasing energy rates have cornered China further. The energy crisis has worsened in the last week and it is claimed that even the Chinese agricultural sector has been hit. Therefore, the warnings of a repeat of the Mao times crisis on social media have become significant.
