Balakot air strike has asserted the significance of Indian Air Force- Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari

BalakotNew Delhi – Air Marshall VR Chaudhari said that the air strikes in Balakot demonstrated the effectiveness of the air force, which can effectively de-escalate the tension in times of war or normalcy in case there is a political will. He mentioned that two of India’s neighbours are nuclear powers. Hence any escalation to nuclear tipping point can be prevented with effective and accurate strikes by the Air Force.

Moreover, the Air Chief addressed a seminar on Aerospace Power: Pivot to Future Battlespace Operations. In 2019, the Pakistan-based terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out a cowardly terrorist attack in Pulwama, killing 40 CRPF jawans. In response, the Indian Air Force attacked Pakistan’s Balakot and eliminated the Jaish terrorists. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari highlighted the importance of the Air Force by citing the Balakot strike. As a nuclear-armed country, Pakistan has always threatened India with a nuclear response. However, after the Balakot strikes by the Indian Air Force, Pakistan’s inability and threat turned out to be a hoax.

Citing the Balakot strikes, the Air Force Chief highlighted the effectiveness of the Air Force in times of war or peace. Air Chief Marshal Chaudhary claimed that this would be decisive in future wars. Hence, the Air Force needs to develop the technology of Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductors-CMOS, Sensors and Artificial Intelligence further. This makes it easy to make quick decisions. Along with this, it becomes necessary to combine human and unmanned technology. No matter how much-advanced technology is available, it is no substitute for skilled manpower that can handle advanced technology. That is why skilled professionals, situational awareness and training in advanced technology are important for us, claimed the Air Chief.

The Air Chief made it clear that seeing things first and getting there first and fastest, along with precision strike and destruction, are the three main mantras of modern warfare. The fifth tier of advanced fighter aircraft will play a decisive role in future warfare, said the Air Force chief.

Meanwhile, Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari’s mention of the Balakot airstrike carried out by the Air Force intruding into Pakistan’s airspace is significant. A few days ago, Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar also mentioned the Balakot airstrike while addressing the Indian community in Uganda. There are indications that Pakistan’s ISI, the notorious intelligence agency, is intensifying its anti-India activities. In particular, the ISI is creating the illusion that the situation in India’s Punjab has worsened by joining hands with the Khalistani separatists in the US, Canada, and the United Kingdom. News about this was published in the Indian media.

The statements of the Foreign Minister and the Air Force Chief indicate that India is sending a clear message to Pakistan that while ISI is intensifying its anti-India activities by projecting that separatists are active in India, Pakistan will have to bear the consequences.
