China claims to have controlled the tension at the Ladakh LAC

Beijing: – Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has given a certificate of appreciation to his own country for effectively controlling the tension on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Ladakh. Wang Yi claimed that the communist party had properly handled the pressure at the LAC under the able guidance of President Xi Jinping. The tension at the LAC in Ladakh still prevails. Instead, China has made additional deployments in this sector, and India has made preparations to retaliate. Therefore, these claims of the Chinese Foreign Minister seem to be an attempt to create a façade of a Chinese victory in the border dispute with India.

China has withdrawn its military from certain sectors of the LAC in Ladakh. After that, India too attempted to ease the tension by withdrawing the army from these sectors. But China is not willing to withdraw its military from the other sectors agreed during the bilateral negotiations. Instead, China is making moves that add to the tension in the region. Therefore, even after 12 rounds of talks between the two countries, the pressure at the LAC in Ladakh is not diffusing. There are nearly 50 to 60 thousand soldiers from both countries at the LAC.

Moreover, the tension at the LAC in Ladakh has not been diffused. Therefore, the Indian Air Force may make quick deployments in the region if the need arises. The Indian Air Chief Marshal also announced a few days ago that the IAF is prepared to face any challenges in this sector. Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also has targeted the Chinese activities against India without mentioning the name. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also asserted that India is prepared to fight a war on east and west frontiers.

Therefore, there are indications that the tension at the LAC between India and China has worsened instead of diffusing. In this scenario, the claim that the tension at the LAC has been successfully controlled, made by the Chinese Foreign Minister amounts to only an eyewash. The Chinese Foreign Minister is trying to portray that China is dominating the situation at the LAC in Ladakh. But the Indian army and the air force have pointed out time and again that the actual situation is different. Former Defence Chief General Bipin Rawat, who was martyred in a helicopter crash, also warned during an interview with a news channel that India should be cautious about the Chinese propaganda war. General Rawat had pointed to the threat, drawing attention to the fact that China is creating a façade that is dominating the dispute at the LAC. Chinese Foreign Minister is working on the same lines and blurting out claims that the Chinese leadership has successfully controlled the dispute at the LAC.
