As per the agreement signed with France, four Rafael fighter jets were to be inducted into the Indian Airforce by the end of next month. These four Rafael fighter jets equipped with long-range missiles were to be delivered at the Ambala airport in India. But tension has been created between India and China, since the last few days. In view of this tension, France has offered to supply more war-ready Rafael fighter jets to India. Accordingly, it is being said that France will be providing four more Rafael fighter jets to India.

Israel too has indicated supply of an air defence system to India. It is claimed that the air defence system currently used by the Israel military will be landed directly in Ladakh. Although there is no official announcement in this respect, it is claimed that Israel has offered this to India. Israel is keen on supplying all the necessary defence equipment to India, as both the countries have the same defence related interests.

Whereas, the traditional Indian ally, Russia, has agreed to supply defence related materials worth billions of dollars in the next few weeks. It is being revealed that these include missiles and other defence equipment. Discussions regarding these were held during the visit of Indian Defence Minister, Raj Nath Singh, to Russia, in the last week. Whereas, the United States has announced that it will be supplying Excalibur munition to India.

The weapons and defence systems being supplied to India, by these mighty countries like the United States, Russia, France and Israel has become a cause of concern for China. Indications are that the Chinese insecurities have increased further because of this. Therefore, the Chinese media are warning India, not to take enmity with China based on the support from the westerners. At the same time, the Chinese media are warning that China can harass India using Pakistan and Nepal. A country portraying itself as a world superpower has to depend on countries like Pakistan and Nepal, clearly demonstrates the Chinese insecurity.

With the international community standing firm behind India, China attempted to include Turkey into the front against India. For this, China dangled the carrot of making Turkey a member of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation. But it is reported that Turkey refused to take a stand against India.
