Washington/Moscow: US President Donald Trump replied to the allegations against him by saying, “Russia started their anti-US campaign in 2014, long before I announced that I would run for President. The results of the Presidential elections were not impacted. The Trump campaign did nothing wrong. I did not collude with Russia.”

us, russia, donald trumpUS special counsel Robert Mueller filed a charge sheet on Friday about Russian meddling in the United States. 13 Russians have been named in this charge sheet including Yevgeny Prigozhin, who works as Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ‘chef’. The charge sheet claims that Russia interfered in the United States political system and elections through an organisation in St. Petersburg called the ‘Internet Research Agency’.

Russia created hundreds of accounts on various social media websites for this and created an illusion that these accounts are being run by American citizens, according to the information provided in the charge sheet. The 37-page charge sheet does not mention whether President Trump’s team which was responsible for the campaigning, colluded with Russia. Therefore, President Trump claims that this charge sheet answers all allegations made against him.

However, the opposition parties have criticised Trump by saying that Mueller’s charge sheet confirms Russian meddling.
