World Aerobic Gymnastic Championship

Aerobic GymnastThe names of 13 gymnasts who are a part of the Indian team are declared for the 14th World Aerobic Gymnastic Championship to be held at Incheon, South Korea. Especially, this includes the participation of 11 players from Aurangabad. Amongst them, Rugved Joshi, Mayur Vondhare, Isha Mahajan and Rohan Shriramvar were placed in 2012 in the Indian team. However, the other seven members are participating in a world competition for the first time.

The others in the team include Swamini Mandlik, Rohan Shriramvar, Aishwarya Deshpande, Amey Padature, Sakshi Ladda, Aditya Talegaonkar and Suraj Taksande. Nikhil from Haryana and Ariha from Manipur are also being selected. Team India will leave for South Korea next Thursday before which a practice session will be organised for them at National Camp, Aurangabad. This practice session will be conducted for a week in which team India will be guided by experienced coaches.

Makarand Joshi, an international referee, has expressed his confidence upon the selection and achievement of the team. Indian gymnasts had performed well in the earlier competition held in Mexico. They could learn a lot from that tour. By taking advantage of the same the Indian gymnasts will perform better in South Korea, anticipated  Makarand
