Unemployed Chinese youth may pose a political threat, warns China’s senior advisor

Beijing – The Chinese Communist regime’s economic advisor warned that if the problem of rising unemployment in China is not handled properly, it will have serious social consequences beyond the financial arena. He also warned that the unemployed youth might pose a political threat. He said that multinational companies have been retreating from China after losing trust internationally during the Corona pandemic. He added that it has led to factories, companies and businesses in China closing. At the same time, due to the Corona pandemic, demand in the country has also decreased, and China’s exports have also reduced. The analyst has warned that this will cause increasing unemployment in China, and the country will face a crisis in the next decade. Besides, the economic advisor seems to realise that this unemployment problem will cause political turmoil in China, and the Communist regime may suffer setbacks.

Moreover, international analysts and think tanks have raised concerns about China’s slipping growth rate for the last few days. Analysts claimed that the wrong economic policy and failed decisions of Chinese President Xi Jinping have been drowning the economy of this country. These international analysts had warned that the whole world would have to bear the brunt of this economic decline of China along with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. However, the financial advisors of the country have started warning that the declining growth rate, the retreat of foreign investors and the closed factories will prove to be a threat to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).

Liu Yuanchun, an analyst and senior economic advisor at the Renmin University of China (RUC), warned the Chinese government that the issue of rising unemployment needs to be handled carefully. He added that this increasing unemployment would challenge China’s economy. Yuanchun said that it would have consequences at the social level and would also increase political threats. Yuanchun also noted that the unemployment crisis would worsen quickly and remain in China for at least a decade.

Furthermore, speaking at the China Macroeconomy Forum (CMF) meeting, Yuanchun released the concerned report. The report says that 21% of the youth in the age group of 16 to 24 years in China have been unemployed. In addition, the statement also clearly mentions that the Zero Covid Policy imposed by Xi Jinping after the Corona pandemic has become an obstacle to the country’s economic development. Screenshots of the 110-page report have been released on Chinese social media, and there are indications that the Chinese people’s concern has been increasing due to the signs of unemployment and political crisis.

Meanwhile, around the same time last year, discontent against President Xi Jinping surfaced in China. Due to the Zero Covid Policy, there was criticism against Xi Jinping right from the Chinese capital Beijing to other cities. Some people took to the streets to protest against Xi Jinping and demanded his resignation. Apart from this, there was also an attempted coup to remove the Chinese head of state from the post. However, Xi Jinping successfully stayed in power by stopping all such activities against him. Nevertheless, due to this, the whole world realised the dissatisfaction of the people of China against his rule.

The warning given by the economic advisor of the communist government also clearly presents the suppressed dissatisfaction in China.
