Fresh tensions mount due to Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict; 7 soldiers from

Brussels / Washington / Moscow: In the last 24 hours, the conflict has flared up again at the Armenia-Azerbaijan border. Armenia alleged that Azerbaijan carried out drone and mortar attacks on villages along the Nagorno-Karabakh border and captured a village. Seven soldiers from both sides were killed, and over ten others were injured in these clashes. However, Azerbaijan has denied the allegations, accusing Armenia of propaganda. Besides, this is the second time in the past four months that the Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict has erupted.

Moreover, the Azerbaijan army began to attack on Thursday evening. It has surfaced that the Azerbaijan army entered the village of Farukh in Nagorno-Karabakh and took control of it. Surprisingly, local military units and Russian peacekeepers did not retort to the attack in which the Azerbaijan army had used Turkish drones.

Two Armenian soldiers from Nagorno-Karabakh were killed, and five others were injured in the clashes. Five Azerbaijan soldiers were killed while several others were injured, said Armenia. This is the second event of a conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan since November. A total of 22 soldiers were killed at that time in the conflict. In 2020, a 44-day conflict had flared between Armenia and Azerbaijan. More than 6,500,000 people were reportedly killed in the conflict flared over control of Nagorno-Karabakh. Azerbaijan had got a victory in the conflict. At that time, Turkey and Pakistan were accused of aiding Azerbaijan in the conflict against Armenia. The conflict had stopped only after Russia mediated.
