Taliban and Pakistan army clash at Durand Line – Taliban spokesperson informsThe Durand Line, which separates Pakistan’s Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Federally Administered Tribal Area-FATA and the Balochistan province from Afghanistan, has been a point of contention for decades. Afghanistan has been continuously accusing Pakistan of illegally capturing ten provinces of Afghanistan. So far, every government in Afghanistan has said that the Durand Line with Pakistan is not acceptable.

But last year, there were reports that the Taliban, which had established a regime in Afghanistan, had forced the Pakistani troops deployed along the Durand Line to flee. Pakistan’s army is trying hard to hide the tension on the Durand Line from its media. The Pakistan Army has ordered the local media not to report on the Durand Line. However, the Taliban continue to release videos of tensions along the Durand Line and threats to Pakistani soldiers.

Two days ago, there were reports of clashes between the Taliban and the Pakistan Army near the Durand Line in Afghanistan’s Kurram district. There were also claims that the Taliban prevented Pakistani troops from erecting a barbed wire fence along the Durand Line. The media, under the control of the Pakistan Army, avoided reporting on this. But Taliban spokesman Bilal Karimi announced through an Afghan news channel that three Pakistani soldiers had been killed in a border clash at Dand Patan.

Taliban spokesman Karimi blamed the firing by Pakistani soldiers during talks on the Durand Line. Karimi said that the Taliban killed three Pakistani soldiers in a retaliatory operation. After this, a video of the Taliban’s car crossing the Durand Line and travelling through Pakistan’s territory was released on social media. After all this information was revealed, Pakistan also had to admit the death of three of its soldiers.

Meanwhile, the Durand Line dispute is becoming a headache for Pakistan. The Taliban have stepped up itsshil attacks along the border and deployed rocket launchers. At the same time, the demand of the Taliban is getting support from Pashtun leaders in Pakistan. Some journalists in Pakistan are expressing concern that Pakistan will fall into pieces due to this dispute.
