PM Modi holds talks with Israeli PM  

New Delhi: – Prime Minister Narendra Modi informed that he had a telephonic discussion with Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett. While sharing this information on social media, Prime Minister Modi posted that the international developments were discussed during the telephonic conversation. The talks between Prime Minister Modi and Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett became significant against the background of the war in Ukraine, the nuclear deal between the United States and Iran and the cooperation established by the Arab countries with Israel.

The Israeli Prime Minister was scheduled to visit India on the 3rd of April. But the visit was postponed as he contracted Corona. Against this background, the Indian Prime Minister inquired about the Israeli Prime Minister’s health. Media advisors to the Israeli Prime Minister informed that both the leaders held discussions on international developments. Prime Minister Modi denounced the attack carried out in the last week in Israel in strong words. The Israeli Prime Minister thanked Prime Minister Modi for his concerns.   

Major developments are taking place in the Middle East while the war is being fought in Ukraine. Intense reactions are being received from the Middle East countries and Israel over the nuclear deal being signed between the United States and Iran. Israel recently organised the Negev Summit. Egypt, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco participated in the summit. These countries openly discussed military cooperation during the summit. Talks are rife that this anti-Iran military front evolving without paying any attention to the United States will grow stronger in the coming times and Saudi and other Middle East countries will join the front. It is claimed that even the United States had to take cognisance of this front.   

In this scenario, the Indian and Israeli prime ministers’ discussion becomes significant. Israeli Prime Minister is scheduled to visit India soon and as per analysts, cooperation between the two countries may have far-reaching consequences. India and Israel are discussing a free trade agreement and it is being said that the deal will be finalised by June.
