More than 70,000 Coronavirus deaths around the world

Paris/Tokyo: Coronavirus has claimed more than 5,000 lives across the globe, thus taking the total number of deaths to 70,559. The numbers are increasing very rapidly in the United States. However, the situation in the European countries is claimed to be under control. A sensation has been created after new cases were reported from China. Japan has indicated imposing emergency in the country, and Prime Minister Shinzo Abe has made a provision of USD 990 billion for the purpose.

As informed by the John Hopkins University, more than 1,200 patients died in the United States and 24,000 new cases were detected. 600 deaths and 7,300 new cases were detected in the New York city alone. As of today, the number of deaths in the United States has reached 9,633 and the total number of cases are 336,906. It has been discovered that a tiger from the New York zoo has too been infected with the virus. Therefore, claims that the animals cannot be infected with Coronavirus is being eliminated.

In the last 24 hours, 637 lives have been claimed in Spain and 4,273 new cases have been reported. The total number of deaths in Spain is 13,055 with 135,032 confirmed cases. Although Spain is second, that is, after the United States, in the number of Coronavirus cases, the Spanish government is claiming that the pandemic is under control. The medical experts in Spain have a different opinion, and they are expressing displeasure over the management of the medical agencies in the country.

Reports of nearly 600 deaths have been received from Italy too. The Italian government has claimed that the number of deaths has reduced. But the Italian government is revealing information only of patients dying in the hospitals. As per locals, the number of domestic deaths is not included in the numbers reported. As per local media, the number of deaths will double, if these numbers are considered.

France reported 550 deaths over the last 24 hours. The total number of deaths in the country has reached 8,000. The gravity of the warning issued by the French Finance Minister has increased while the number of fatalities is dangerously rising in the country. Bruno Le Maire, the French Minister for Economy and Finance, has warned, ‘During the global recession in 2008, the French growth rate had reached -2.2%. But if France has to be under lockdown for a month more, due to the Coronavirus, France will be faced with the toughest recession since the second world war.’

The western news channels have started claiming that while the countries of the world are fighting with this crisis, the next phase of Coronavirus has entered China. Whereas, the Japanese Prime Minister indicated imposition of emergency for the next six months. He also announced a provision of USD 990 billion for the efforts to fight the pandemic.

Meanwhile, because of the pandemic, the number of deaths in Iran has reached 3,739, and the highest number of fatalities in Latin America have been reported from Brazil. 152 people died in Algiers in Africa, and 209 deaths have been reported from the south-east Asian country of Indonesia.
