Opposition slams Biden administration over shortage of 'Baby Formula' -

Washington: Opposition groups in the United States have slammed the Biden administration for the shortage of ‘Baby Formula’, which is essential for newborn babies. US MP Elise Stefanik has criticised President Biden, saying the US is not a Third World Country’. Member of Parliament Kat Cammack has accused the Biden administration of pursuing the ‘America Last’ policy. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has called Biden’s policy of sending ‘Baby Formulas’ to refugee centres ‘irresponsible.’

Over the past year, there have been reports of an insufficient supply of baby formula in the United States. Due to the shortage of raw materials in the Corona era and problems in the global supply chain, the supply of Baby Formula was not reaching its full potential. In February, defects were found in the factory and the Baby Formula products of Abbott, a leading US company. Therefore, the company withdrew its products from the market.

As a result, many Baby Formula products that were available in the US market disappeared at that time from the shelves. The sudden developments set a wave of panic among the parents. Many parents had to rely on social media to order products from the states where Baby Formula was available. There is also a shortage of baby formulas for US government schemes for low-income women. When the problem began in February, the Biden administration did not pay the necessary attention.

Opposition groups are vigorously attacking the Biden administration. At the same time, thousands of parents are expressing their anger on social media. Republican members of the Congress Alice Stefanik, Kat Cammack, Marjorie Taylor-Green, and Michael Waltz all showered criticism on the Biden administration.

Elise Stefanik said that American parents put their babies to sleep on empty stomachs and search for baby formula. The United States is not a third world country. Kat Cammack has posted photos of Baby Formula stocks at refugee centres and empty shelves in US cities on social media. Cammack has accused that this is an indicator of Biden’s ‘America Last’ policy. Greg Abbott, the governor of Texas, has charged that the shortage of Baby Formula is a symbol of inconsistent and irresponsible policies of the Biden administration.

The Biden administration is already embroiled in issues such as rising fuel prices, inflation, and the influx of immigrants. The issue of the ‘baby formula’ has become another major cause of anger among the US population.
