Jerusalem: The I2U2 group of India, Israel, the United States and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is considered the QUAD in the West Asian region. Indian participation in this group is crucial. Former National Security Advisor (NSA) of Israel Major General Yaakov Amidror claimed that this development is a game changer. Analysts worldwide are seriously observing I2U2, and according to them, this will significantly benefit India.

The group was announced during the virtual conference of Foreign Ministers of all four countries. Foreign Ministers of all four countries concurred on increasing cooperation and strengthening the strategic partnership between the countries. US President Joe Biden is currently on a visit to the Gulf countries. During his Israel visit, virtual discussions will be held between the heads of state of I2U2 countries.

Arab-Gulf countries have initiated steps to cooperate with Israel giving up their traditional anti-Israel policies. Along with UAE and Bahrain, even Egypt and Morocco have participated in the Abraham agreement to establish cooperation with Israel. It is claimed that even Saudi Arabia will take the same decision soon. Saud Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman declared that Israel is not an adversary of Saudi Arabia. The politics in the Gulf region has been stirred up because of these developments.

India is a QUAD member with Japan, Australia and the United States. At the same time, India is also part of I2U2 and claims to be part of the West Asian QUAD with Israel, the United States and UAE. This shows that Indian importance is growing on the international level.
