India closely monitoring Chinese military movements near the LAC at Ladakh

New Delhi: – The Army chief passed a verdict that there are no movements of the Chinese military in the area, from where it has withdrawn. As per the reports, the Chinese Army is holding war exercises near the Line of Actual Control (LAC). Against this background, Chief of Army Staff General Manoj Mukund Naravane has given this clarification. But reports are consistently being received that India closely monitors the Chinese military deployments and movements near the LAC region.

During an interview with news agencies, Army Chief General Naravane clarified that both India and China maintain the status in the Pangong lake region. Currently, China is holding war exercises near the LAC. There is nothing new in these exercises as China holds war exercises in this region every year in summer. Still, as per received information, India is closely monitoring these exercises of the Chinese Army. Last year too, China had held similar exercises. The Chinese plan was to increase pressure on India. But China failed in its effort. There is no possibility of China gaining anything from the exercises. But his has increased the level of alertness of the Indian Army.   

Rounds of talks are being held between the Indian and Chinese military officials to diffuse the tension on the LAC in Ladakh. This exercise by China becomes significant against this background. Given the exercise, the Indian Army has increased its deployment in the LAC sector. Indications are continuously being given that the Indian preparation such that China will not plan even a surprise Chinese action. Indian military officials gave information regarding this to a foreign news agency.   

The Indian Army, along with the Air Force, has raised its level of preparedness on the LAC. India has initiated necessary steps to increase the capabilities of the entire LAC with China, not only is Ladakh. The Indian military official told the foreign news agency that the Indian Army has attained the capacity to take action, if necessary.   

Meanwhile, during the first wave of Coronavirus pandemic in India, China launched a surprise attack on Indian soldiers in the Pangong Lake region. Former military officials and analysts expressed suspicions that China will try to take advantage of the second wave of the pandemic. But the Indian Army is exhibiting extreme caution; it is prepared to retaliate against the Chinese intrusion in the same language. Therefore, the message is being delivered to China that India has increased its capabilities in Ladakh and on the entire LAC.
