India, France and UK welcome historic Air India-Airbus deal

New Delhi: In the virtual presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron, Air India and Airbus signed an agreement for 250 passenger planes. According to this, Air India will buy 250 passenger planes from Airbus. Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed his belief that India will become the third largest country in the world in the field of air travel in the coming years and India will need 2000 passenger planes in the next 15 years. The French President claimed that this historic agreement between Air India and Airbus is another step towards strategic and friendly cooperation between France and India.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Modi said there is a huge opportunity in India’s aviation sector. The Prime Minister said that soon India would become the third largest country in the world regarding air travel. As the number of air travellers increases, the demand for passenger aircraft in India will increase accordingly. In the next 15 years, India will need about 2,000 passenger planes, the Prime Minister added. In such a situation, the Prime Minister welcomed the said agreement between Air India and Airbus, saying that the countries producing passenger airlines will benefit from this immense opportunity in India.

French President Emmanuel Macron said that this is a historic agreement. It claimed that it is a very important step towards developing strategic and friendly relations between France and India. Air India to buy over 200 aircraft from Boeing: US President Biden

India’s Air India is set to buy 250 passenger planes from Airbus, Europe’s leading aircraft manufacturer. After the agreement was signed in the virtual presence of Prime Minister Modi and the President of France, there was a direct reaction from the President of the United States. President Joe Biden revealed that Air India would buy 220 aircraft from the American Boeing company. The deal is worth around $34 billion and Air India is also proposing to buy 70 additional aircraft. If agreed to, the total deal would go to $45.9 billion, President Biden said.

President Biden said that it is a matter of pride that more than 200 US-made aircraft are being sold to Air India, and he is proud to announce it. Biden claimed he was very satisfied to develop this partnership with Prime Minister Modi. Biden has also expressed confidence that the deal will provide jobs to more than a million people in the US. The President of the United States has also expressed his belief that the agreement underlines the trade partnership between India and the United States. The deal between Air India and Boeing, claimed by the US President, is one of the top three deals Boeing has ever made regarding value.

Moreover, this will be the second-largest deal by Boeing in terms of the number of aircraft. However, India has not yet announced anything about the transaction.
