He also asked the financial institutions to encourage those doing exemplary on the economic and business level. The Prime Minister conveyed this message at an event jointly organized by the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs.

India has moved away from government-centric policies to people-centric governance. Accordingly, information on welfare schemes is communicated to the public more effectively. While launching the ‘Jana Samarth Portal’, the Prime Minister said it would provide welfare schemes to all, from students to farmers. The Prime Minister expressed confidence that this would enable citizens to realize their dreams.

The central government has decided to abolish about 1,500 laws and 30000 regulations pertaining to the country’s industrial sector, some of which have criminal liabilities. The Prime Minister claimed that this would help the companies in the country progress and scale new heights. The government has simplified the tax system by streamlining taxes through GST. The effects are now beginning to show. The country now collects more than Rs 1 trillion in revenue every month through GST. The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction over this, saying it has become a common thing. The Prime Minister also expressed happiness over the increase in the number of registrations for EPFO.

On Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched special coins of 1,2,5,10 and 20 rupees denominations. It was informed that although the coins are being dedicated to the Amrit Kaal celebrations of independence, they can be used in daily circulation. These new coins will remind the people of the goals set for the Amrit Kaal and inspire the common man to contribute to the country’s development, said the Prime Minister.
