Huge response for defence recruitments from youth in Jammu and Kashmir

Srinagar: – A whopping 30,000 youth from Jammu and Kashmir took the written test for the enrolment in the Border Security Force (BSF) and the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). A large number of youths from Kashmir have started enrolling for Indian security forces. The increased response from the Jammu and Kashmir youth for security forces enrolment in the security forces, since the abrogation of Article 370 last year, is becoming significant.

Written tests for BSF and CISF enrolment were conducted at various military centres in 20 districts of Jammu and Kashmir and two districts of Ladakh. These tests were conducted observing all safety regulations for Coronavirus pandemic. 34,000 youth from Jammu and Kashmir had been found eligible for the enrolment for the post of male and female constables by the BSF and CISF. These candidates had also cleared the physical tests. Out of these, 30,000 youth took the written test. The exuberance of the youth was stunning.   

Meanwhile, 137 Kashmiri youth have joined the cadres of terrorist organisations Lashkar-e-Taiba and Hizbul Mujahideen. 62 out of these were killed in an assault action taken by the Indian Army. Whereas, the Army informed that 14 were arrested and two have surrendered. Against this background, the report of a stunning response by the youth of Jammu and Kashmir to the security forces enrolment becomes important.
