Pune: Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari said that the techniques and nature of wars are changing. The nature of the threats posed to the country’s security also is changing. In this situation, the defence forces have to develop skills to fight wars not on one but on multiple fronts. The Air Chief Marshal was speaking on the occasion of the 142nd Passing Out Parade function at the National Defence Academy (NDA) in Pune. Over the last few months, chiefs of the defence forces are consistently pointing out that the techniques, nature and battlefields of wars are changing. Therefore, the defence forces are pointing out that the security-related challenges faced by the country are changing. The Air Chief Marshal shared the information regarding the new security challenges posed in front of the country while speaking at the NDA Passing Out Parade.

It has become mandatory to adjust to these changes and there is no alternative to enhancing the war readiness. In the current times, the security challenge fronts faced by India are increasing. Thus, Air Chief Marshal warned that while increasing the capabilities, the defence forces would have to make preparations to fight on multiple fronts simultaneously.

The defence forces have started preparations for this and super-advanced technologies are being implemented. The Air Chief Marshal delivered the message that the NDA cadets who will be responsible for the country’s security will have to master the new technologies. The Air Chief Marshal said they would have to study hard and research and understanding must be enhanced. The Air Chief Marshal congratulated the cadets saying that they are getting this vital opportunity to be a part of the changing scenario in the defence forces.

Meanwhile, a question was being raised about whether Russia will continue with the supply of defence spares while engaged in the conflict in Ukraine. But the Air Chief Marshal assured us that such a situation has not been created. The Air force has the policy to make sufficient spare provisions for a very long time. Air Chief Marshal VR Chaudhari added that, therefore, the Ukraine conflict has not affected the war preparedness of the country in any way. But the Air Chief Marshal also announced that the Air Force has adopted a policy to reduce the foreign component in the spares required. Air Chief Marshal Chaudhari claimed that the Air Force would be using weapons and radar systems made under the Make in India initiative.
