The spread of Coronavirus increases in Russia, Brazil and Mexico

Baltimore: More than 4,500 lives were claimed by the Coronavirus pandemic around the globe and the total number of cases has reached 6.6 million. It has been observed that there is a rapid increase in Coronavirus cases in Russia, Brazil and Mexico. Meanwhile. At a time, when the countries of the world have started relaxations in the lockdown, Spain, a leading European country has decided to extend the ‘Corona Emergency’ till 21st June.

As per the information given by John Hopkins University and Worldometer, the total number of deaths around the world has reached 388,759. The pandemic claimed 4,581 lives in the last 24 hours and out of these 1,349 were reported from Brazil and 1,092 from Mexico. The total number of deaths in Brazil has crossed 32,000. The number of deaths in Mexico has crossed the 11,000 mark. 8,831 new cases were reported from Russia in the last 24 hours and the total number of cases has reached 441,108.

A total of 109,224 Coronavirus deaths have been reported from the United States, so far, including the 907 deaths reported in the last 24 hours. 28,633 new cases were reported from Brazil in the last 24 hours and the number of Coronavirus cases has crossed 584,016. More than 40,000 new cases were reported from the United States in the last 24 hours. The number of cases in the United States, worst hit by the pandemic, has crossed 1.9 million. The number of countries with more than 100,000 Coronavirus cases has reached 14. These include the United States, Brazil, Russia, Spain, the United Kingdom, Italy, India, France, Germany, Peru, Turkey, Iran, Chile and Mexico.

Meanwhile, the Trump administration, in the United States, has selected five companies to develop the vaccine for Coronavirus. They are Pfizer, Merck, Johnson and Johnson, Moderna and AstraZeneca. Whereas, the Brazilian government has allowed testing of the vaccine, developed by the Oxford University in the United Kingdom, on the Coronavirus patients.
