Islamabad: Tipu Gul Marwat, Commander from the Haqqani Network, the most influential Taliban group, has joined Tehreek-e-Taliban. Haqqani Network is considered to be the group in the Taliban under Pakistani influence. Recently Tehreek had warned of massive bloodshed in Pakistan. At the same time, reports have surfaced that relations between Pakistan and the Taliban in Afghanistan are becoming tense. Against this background, Marwat joining Tehreek could be dangerous for Pakistani security. Tipu Gul Marwat controls the Lucky Marwat district in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province in Pakistan. Until now, this region has been under the control of the Haqqani Network. Since January, reports of small and big groups from Waziristan and surrounding regions merging with Tehreek have been received.
