Tehrik-i-Taliban threatens to violate ceasefire with PakistanThe activities of terrorists from Tehrik, considered a Taliban faction, have increased in Pakistan since the Taliban took over the rule of Afghanistan. Tehreek claimed that they would take over Pakistan through resistance movements similar to the Taliban’s in Afghanistan. Pakistan had initiated negotiations with the terrorist organisation to stop the saboteur activities. The talks appeared to have some initial success, resulting in a ceasefire between Tehrik and the Pakistani military.

Now Tehrik is warning Pakistan that this ceasefire is temporary and not permanent. The terrorist organisation has demanded from Pakistan that if the bloodshed is to be stopped, Pakistan will have to implement the laws desired by Tehrik in the areas in its influence. Tehrik has also demanded that the Pakistani government cancel the Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA) merger with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

Tehrik-i-Taliban threatens to violate ceasefire with PakistanInternal Security Minister Rana Sanaullah has refused both the demands of Tehrik and stated that the discussion could happen within the framework of the Pakistani constitution. He said that Tehrik could not challenge the laws formulated by the Pakistan parliament. Therefore, there are clear indications that the talks between the government and Tehreek will fall. The members of the Haqqani network from the Afghan Taliban are making strong efforts for the success of these talks. However, their efforts seem to be yielding no result. Instead, Tehrik has become aggressive and has warned that its Mujahideen are ready for a new conflict.

Tehrik terrorists have perpetrated massive bloodshed in Pakistan. Therefore, the media is expressing concerns over the new threat issued by the terrorist organisation. At the same time, some people are demanding that the government should not bow down to the terrorist organisation and show its weakness. However, Tehrik is pointing out the limitations of the Pakistan army and stating that Tehrik is not known for putting down its weapons and surrendering. Not referring directly, but Tehrik is reminding Pakistan of its surrender to India in the 1971 war. Tehrik is sending a message to Pakistan that such a timid army will not be able to face them.
