Kashmir will soon be free of terrorism, Union Minister Jitendra Singh

Srinagar: – Terrorism is being used since the last three decades to create unrest in Jammu and Kashmir. But this terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir is counting its final days. The Indian government has adopted a no-tolerance policy against terrorism. Union Minister Jitendra Singh said that therefore, terrorists are running helter-skelter to save their lives.

Last week, the terrorists killed a local leader. Before that, a Sarpanch had been killed by the terrorists. Against this background, Union Minister Jitendra Singh referred to the current situation of terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. The terrorists running for their lives, given the various campaigns launched by the security forces, are finding soft targets and killing them. Jitendra Singh claimed that this means that the last stage of freeing Kashmir from terrorism has started.

The main leaders, along with the separatists from Jammu and Kashmir, are forced to distance themselves from the terrorists, because of the historic decision taken by the union government on 6th of August 2019. Jitendra Singh said that the terrorists had become wanderers, as the government has announced a no-tolerance policy against terrorism. Doda and Kishtwar were known as the fortress of the terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. A spate of terror attacks and killings was being carried out in these areas since the last three decades. Jitendra Singh pointed out that now, these regions are free from terrorism.

Meanwhile, three terrorists were killed at Sopor in the Baramulla district. On being tipped off that 2-3 terrorists are hiding in the Reban area of Sopor, a police unit along with 22 RR from the Army and soldiers from the CRPF surrounded the area. An encounter ensued during the search operation.
