Increasing number of Coronavirus cases is a warning bell, warns the Deputy Chief Minister

Mumbai – The number of deaths in the state of Maharashtra has reached 16, and the number of cases has reached 335. Eighty-two new cases had been reported in the state on Tuesday, and 15 new cases were reported on Wednesday. Fourteen of these are from Mumbai. The State Health Minister informed that 5,000 people who have come in close contact with the positive cases had been isolated. The numbers are increasing not only in Mumbai but also in other parts of the state. 50 cases in Pune, 36 in Thane, 25 in Sangli, 16 in Nagpur, 8 in Ahmednagar, 4 in Buldhana and two each in Satara and Kolhapur have been reported. Other than these, one case has been reported from Aurangabad, Sindhudurg, Ratnagiri, Gondia, Jalgaon and Nashik districts.

The challenges faced by the agencies have multiplied due to this rapid increase in the number of cases. People who have come in contact with these Coronavirus patients are being identified. State Health Minister Rajesh Tope has informed that 5,343 people have been isolated so far. He also said that they are being screened for Coronavirus.

The police and other agencies have successfully reached 54 people out of 66 who had gone from Nagpur. 29 out of 34 who returned to Ahmednagar are foreign nationals.
