Washington – If it is proved that the Coronavirus pandemic originated from Wuhan in China, the United States should take harsh action against China, is the demand made by 83% of the US citizens. This was clear in a recently conducted survey. Most of the voters of the ruling, as well as the opposition parties, have the same opinion. Some of the voters supported the imposition of heavy taxes on Chinese products to recover the financial losses incurred by the United States due to the Coronavirus pandemic. In contrast, a section of the voters upheld the demand that China must compensate for every Coronavirus.
Shocking information regarding the Coronavirus pandemic is being published in the western media. Therefore, the suspicion that China spread the pandemic is becoming stronger. The survey conducted by Hill-Harris X exposes that US citizens have a suspicion regarding China. 87% of Republican voters, 83% of Democrat voters and 89% of neutral citizens supported action against China.
These voters believe that if China has purposely spread the pandemic, the United States should take harsh action against China. Moreover, 30% of the voters said that heavy taxation should be imposed on Chinese products on the international level for these horrible crimes. Whereas 25% of the voters are demanding compensation from China. 18% of voters made an aggressive demand that sanctions should be imposed on China and travel ban should be imposed on the Chinese communist party leaders.
15% believed that the Coronavirus pandemic is natural and there is no need for action against China. But more than 80% believe that an action is warranted against China; it is significant to note that both the ruling and opposition party voters agree on this point. However, Dritan Nesho, Chief Executive Officer of Hill-Harris X, informed that all the voters favouring the action said that the action should be taken only after the charges are proved against China. Currently, nearly 25% to 30% voters are demanding recovery of compensation and imposition of taxes on Chinese products. But if the charges are proved against China, the numbers could rise meteorically.
Leaders of the US opposition parties are levelling serious accusations against China. The response received by their accusations in the United States and outside the United States is growing by the day. China has already started feeling the heat. In this scenario, the US voters‘ demand for strong action against China is only adding to the pressure on China.
